I bought the Alvin work station as a gift for my artist son & he reports it is a good, sturdy desk and is very pleased with its overall usefulness & quality.
However, he had a similar complaint to those I read from other reviewers about having problems with the drawers - In my son's case, the right hand set of drawers came with a wrong sized drawer. This isn't a problem for him since he decided not to keep either set of drawers because he told me they got in his way. I say to the manufacturer: ditch the drawers & charge 15 or 20 dollars less for an otherwise nice work station.

I had a large drafting table that was obnoxious. This was perfect. This table can easily be lifted from 0 degress to 45. Its a bit smaller but large enough for my work. I love the storage for my chalks and charcoals. I was able to pick the table top color to a closer match of our office. I can not believe the price we found it for on here. Thank you!

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend who will be using it for his cartooning, and he loves it. He's at a hobby level, and this is perfect for his needs. It was easy to assemble, and the Cherry wood is beautiful. The drawers look a little smaller in person, but he was still able to fit all his materials in them. He just assembled it, so I can't speak to it's durability over time, but it seems sturdy so far.

I think this is pretty much exactly as advertised. The size is nice and it was moderately easy to put together. I was a little concerned about the return policy (as I have had shippers destroy packages in the past) but it turned out ok. I bought the table for my daughter as a drawing/drafting table. We are very pleased with the construction, and my husband who is not a handy man had no problems assembling it. The only thing is that when you close one of the drawers, the whole box of drawers slides backwards in the brackets. I plan to wire the 3-drawer box to keep it from slipping out the back. Otherwise the desk is great quality and very sturdy! I would purchase it again.

The desk is pretty easy to assemble. This is the second desk I purchased for my kids. My daughter still loves her desk we purchased 2 years ago. I know my son will love his. The only drawback is the plastic drawers. The don't snap together very easily and typically one or two of the plastic snaps break when you try. The desk is nice for the price and works great for the kids.

I purchased this desk to augment my drafting table, since it's smaller and it looked like it'd be easier to move the desktop positions than the larger drafting desk I already had. It does move up and down much more easily than larger tables and as a bonus, it's one of the prettiest desks of its kind I've ever seen.
The only flaw I have experienced with it is a minor annoyance - the plastic drawers attached to the underside have a tendency to slip and slide around, even sliding backwards out of their hangers. I'm thinking about taping mine into place so that they'll stop falling out of the holster all the time. It's a minor thing, but if you're getting into and out of the drawers a lot, it can start to aggravate you.
Still, for the price, this is probably one of the best little adjustable tables I've seen. I bought a second one for my teenager and she absolutely loves it. This would be perfect for art students in a dorm setting where space is at a premium.

I love this desk, the tilt mechanism is super easy to use and the height is adjustable so I didn't need to get a drafting stool/chair to be able to use it. It was pretty simple to put together, and it comes with a little packet of tools so you can assemble it really easily.

The drawers were the only part that was slightly annoying to put together, and they feel a little flimsy to me and are not really all that big. However, if you're not storing heavy supplies in them, they should be fine.

I primarily use the desk for larger pieces of work, as I am an art student in college and have been wanting my own desk for a while now. I would recommend this to others in a heartbeat.

This is an okay table. The instructions are clear and it is relatively easy to assemble, BUT one of the pivotal pieces in the set appears to have been drilled in the wrong spots and the plastic drawers included were not easy to snap together.

It is nice that this table comes with options (you can use casters or floor glides; a pencil stop or a tray), and I like that it comes with drawers... But if I had to make this purchase again, I would probably have bought a simpler desk that was better quality.

This table is used mainly as a work station to repair my r/c helicopters and to assemble model kits. It is easily movable with either the casters or sliders. The only thing I would change would be the drawer size and make it easier to open and close.

This is a cleanly designed drafting table for small projects. I use mine for drawing and water color painting. I keep paints and pens in the drawers. These must be held while pulling them open lest they slide out of their brackets. Other than that it is the perfect size and very sturdy.

I bought this for my husband who is a Landscape Designer with a small office space so it worked very well for the space and a great replacement to the table he was using for the last 8 years that he got while in design school.The one con he says is the angling of the table could be easier to manipulate but so far so good. He also misses his attached horizontal straight edge he had on the old table so we are looking for the replacement of that.[...]
