I use this chair for my drafting desk at school. I am an architectural graduate student and spend hours upon hours in it and it is quite comfortable. I have back problems, too, but they have definitely subsided since I got this chair - way better than those metal stools they supply! My only complaint is that I wish it could drop lower and perhaps double as regular desk chair...
